Lake Nasser Cruises
Lake Nasser & Nubian Temples Cruise
Cruise across tranquil Lake Nasser between Abu Simbel and Aswan, exploring rescued Nubian monuments, desert shorelines, and the cliffside temples of Ramesses II.

A closer look.
Board an agreed lake vessel at Abu Simbel to experience peaceful waters south of the High Dam. This dedicated lake journey reveals isolated temples salvaged from rising reservoir waters.
Sail past the fortress headland of Kasr Ibrim, call at ancient sanctuaries like Amada and Wadi el-Seboua, and finish your voyage near Kalabsha Temple outside Aswan.
Operates as a three-night cruise from Abu Simbel to Aswan or a four-night cruise in the reverse direction.
- Colossal rock temples of Abu Simbel
- Lake sailing past Kasr Ibrim citadel
- Wadi el-Seboua and Amada temple visits

Your itinerary.
A proposed sequence to discuss, with availability and practical arrangements confirmed before booking.

Meet at Abu Simbel, visit the magnificent rock-hewn temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari, and board your lake cruise vessel for an evening aboard.

Sail northward past the rocky island fortress of Kasr Ibrim, then go ashore to explore the ancient reliefs of Amada Temple and Pennut's tomb.
Day 3 · Wadi el-Seboua and northbound sailing
Explore the lion-sphinx avenue of Wadi el-Seboua Temple before returning to your vessel for an afternoon of relaxed sailing across open lake waters.

The practical details.
Verify a real departure first
Lake operations and available programmes need a current operator check. This four-day proposal runs Abu Simbel–Aswan; an Aswan-starting sailing may require a different duration and a rewritten quotation.
Remote shore visits
Landings can involve uneven ground, steps, exposed sun and limited facilities. Share mobility needs before a vessel is selected. Neither every landing nor access to every monument can be guaranteed by this outline.
Connections and shared services
Allow transfer time between lake berths, Aswan city and the airport. Ship movements and shore transport may be shared; private guiding must be explicitly confirmed and does not mean a private guide lives aboard with your party.
The written quotation takes precedence over this suggested programme. Check the final services, guiding arrangements and any optional costs before confirming.
Good to know.
Does this cruise begin in Aswan?
The four-day proposal begins at Abu Simbel and ends near Aswan. Travel to Abu Simbel is a separate arrangement unless quoted. A departure from Aswan needs its own confirmed programme and may take longer.
Can we go ashore at Kasr Ibrim?
No landing is offered here. The proposed experience is a view from the vessel, subject to the route and visibility; it is not a visit inside the ruins.
Is a Lake Nasser sailing currently guaranteed?
No. We must obtain current departure, vessel and cabin confirmation before presenting a bookable offer. If no suitable operation is available, a land-based alternative would be a different, separately approved itinerary.
Where will we be picked up?
The embarkation point at Abu Simbel stated in your confirmed quotation. Your exact meeting details are agreed before travel.
How is my booking confirmed?
Send an enquiry first. We review availability and provide a written quotation with the itinerary, services, price and booking conditions. Sending the form does not reserve a service.
