Pyramid interiors can involve low ceilings, steep inclines and little room to turn. Explain any knee, breathing, balance or claustrophobia concerns before choosing entry; it is not essential to the day.
An exposed landscape
Shade is limited across substantial parts of these sites. Wear a hat and practical shoes, carry water and allow a gentler pace in hot conditions.
Avoid a rushed combination
Saqqara and Dahshur deserve time of their own. Adding Giza or a major museum changes the pace substantially and should be treated as a revised itinerary rather than an assumed extra stop.
